Cottage Sapanca Bungalow

The locals and old residents of Sapanca used to call the lakeside area “Kumbaz.” No other word was used to describe the lakefront and coastal section of Sapanca. Phrases like “We’re going to Kumbaz” or “Let’s meet at Kumbaz this evening” referred to what is now known as the Sapanca shore.

If you are tired of hotels and pensions, Cottage Sapanca Bungalow is located right in the heart of that very Kumbaz. It is a delightful home with 2 bedrooms, an open kitchen and living room, front and back verandas, a charming upstairs balcony, a private swimming pool, and a sheltered private garden. Fully equipped for both short- and long-term stays, it offers everything you may need for a comfortable holiday.

Sapanca is 1 hour 15 minutes from Istanbul, 3 hours from Ankara, 2 hours from Bursa, and only 20 minutes from İzmit and Adapazarı city centers by car. Buses depart from Istanbul every 30 minutes to Sapanca. There are also daily train services from Istanbul. Our home is within a 10-minute walking distance to Sapanca Train Station.

Everything You Need in the Kitchen

We strive to make you feel at home. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, stovetop, mini oven, kettle, tea maker, Turkish coffee machine, filter coffee machine, various pots and pans, dinnerware, cups, glasses, and other essential accessories.

Enjoy our private and sheltered garden. Relax by the pool, light up the barbecue for dinner, or sip your coffee by the fire in the evening.

Isolated and exclusively for your use! Our garden features a 3m x 6m swimming pool with a depth of 140–150 cm and sun loungers for 4 people.

Bicycle

Explore the lakeside or nearby streets by bicycle. If you need more bikes, we can assist with rentals.

Clean & Hygienic

Our home is cleaned to high standards, taking Covid-19 precautions into account. Freshly renewed hand, bath, head, and foot towels are provided, so you won’t need to worry about bringing your own.
